Company History

Captured Image is a new business in the mid coast of Maine. We have been around for about three years, as of this writing. Capture Image is a husband and wife team, specializing in Environmental Portraits. This work has not been limited to individuals. We have shot groups, and folks with their pets. We come to your location and create the images that you desire. As we are currently working out of our home, as such we do not have a studio in the traditional sense. Nature is our studio, we can work almost anywhere you would like to be photographed. In addition to our portrait work, we also do events. Captured Image can come to your function or party to record the flavor of the day for you to enjoy for years to come.

We also produce a variety of other art. This ranges from note cards to wall art in the form of framed and matted photographs. The imagery that we produce ranges from wildlife and flowers to scenery’s to historic sites. Captured Image produces a line of note cards that are available in a few locations in the Mid-Coast as well as over the net. We produce a line of frig magnets and bookplates. These can be made from any existing card or other image in our inventory. Thru the summer months we can be found at some of the local festivals and fairs.

Principle Bios

Clarence Spady

I’m Clarence B. Spady (CB), I have been practicing photography for more than 35 years as a hobby, and professionally off and on for about 20 years. I started using Nikon equipment about 20 years ago. Photography is a natural extension of my other loves namely hiking, hunting, boating and other out door activities. I very much enjoy shooting flowers and historic sites, could be a strange combination but I like it. Some of my favorite scenic’s were taken from some of the local mountain summits as the sun was rising.

I have only recently gone to digital camera’s, in the modal of the Nikon D200. This was in response to “industry” trends, and was not something that I would probably done on my own. Having made the change I do like using digital gear, but I still love my film. I shoot the Nikon FA’s and an N90 35mm cameras. I also shoot a Mamiya medium format camera.

I have shot Builders Portfolio’s, Weddings, and Media events over the years. Most recently I have been shooting Portraits and imagery intended to be “wall art” at some point in the future. I have been working at horse shows, award banquettes, and Public Relations Material for the local Fire and Ambulance Services. Some of this material has been published in the local papers.

Lorraine Spady

I was a mechanic for the past 10 years, but I am now unemployed, as the company that I worked for closed down and moved over seas. I went over seas to train the people who would be doing my job. The reason I bring this up is because before I left I went out and bought a high end Point and Shoot camera. It had some SLR features. When I got home and got a chance to look at the hundreds of photos that I had taken I found that I had an eye for photography. So I have only been doing this for a little over a year. By the way I now have a much nicer camera, I use a Nikon D70 and I am looking to up grade to a D80. I will admit that if I am out on the 4-wheeler I still use my Point and Shoot. I want to thank all of you who visit this page and take time to read it. I will be editing it from time to time and changing things around, but for now this is a small look at the people behind the picture in this gallery
